Conceito Vintage Port 2016

Vale da Teja’s terroir provides grapes with excellent acidity and balance, thanks to its soils, altitude and the ensemble of grape varieties. Great Tawny Ports traditionally come from this terroir. It was, thus, a huge surprise when Conceito certified the first Vintage Port, from the 2005 harvest.

The wine presented an impeccable structure, colour and concentration, offering a mature full mouth, yet, with the fantastic acidity offered by this terroir. In the classical 2007 year, the Vintage Port achieved even more elegance and complexity. Conceito’s Vintage Ports reflect the house philosophy – rigorous and careful winemaking.

Over a decade has gone by and the wines are ageing as great Vintages do – complex and subtle – pleasure wines from the first moment and no commitment to its longevity. Pairs perfectly with chocolate or apple desserts as well as dried fruits or full-fat cheeses.
