The Wolftrap White Blend 2021

Winemakers Notes:

Boekenhoutskloof The Wolftrap White is a wine that is blended with different grape varieties, including Chenin Blanc, Viognier, and Grenache Blanc. This wine features a pale yellow color and a floral and fruity aroma. On the palate, it has a well-balanced acidity that gives it a refreshing taste coupled with peach and apricot flavors, complemented by hints of vanilla. It also displays a smooth and clean finish with a pleasant aftertaste. This wine is best enjoyed chilled and is perfect for pairing with a variety of dishes, including seafood, salads and light pasta dishes.  The Wolftrap White is a perfect wine to bring along to a summer picnic or pool party due to its refreshing and light character.

Tasting Notes:

A bold nose entices with its abundance of nectarine, peach melba and stewed apple aromas with delicate whiffs of lemon meringue. The white peach character of the nose follows through onto the midpalate with flavours of lemon verbena, quince and chives. The palate is soft, smooth and medium bodied yet with vibrant, integrated acidity. The wine has a slight spicy finish with hints of nettles, flint and preserved lemons.
