Kottabos Chenin Blanc (skin contact) 2021

The Latin phrase “inconcessum persequor” surrounding The Grail on our emblem translates into “I pursue the unattainable”.  Between the varied slopes of the beautiful Stellenbosch valley in South Africa, the Borman family pursue the unattainable to 'perfect' the art of winemaking. 

Grapes grown on decomposed granite soils in Stellenbosch.

Grapes whole bunch pressed and left to settle for 24 hours. 

Natural whole cluster ferment in older French oak and kept on primary lees for 10 months. Hands-off approach. 

Tasting notes 

Ripe stone fruit, ginger and some granite freshness. Beautifully balanced. Great ageing potential.
