Ken Forrester Vineyards, Stellenbosch
Situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain, in the heart of South Africa's most famous wine region Stellenbosch, our vineyards are commonly referred to as the Home of Chenin Blanc.
Over the years our range of top-quality wines has received wide national and international acclaim with literally hundreds of awards and accolades and are broadly available in reputable restaurants and wine retailers around the globe.
Ken Forrester’s philosophy has always been to create a range of handcrafted, individually-made wines that suitably complement a wide variety of food styles and provide excellent value.
We strive to manage our vineyards in an organic, sustainable manner. Our workplace environment and work ethic should be a shining light in the industry.
Our winemaking is targeted at three distinctly different tiers, two of which are available in New Zealand.
The entry-level consists of the Petit range - inexpensive wines, crafted for everyday drinking, wines to be opened and enjoyed lightheartedly after a day at work or with a friend. expression of the nature of the fruit.
The Reserve wines: from older vineyards, show more depth of character and concentration; ideal food wines, with structure and elegance.
The Icons: our single parcel vines, where an older, special vineyard like a small postage stamp on the map, produces exceptional fruit and extremely low yields. Here we attempt to make a statement of purity, intensity, complex concentration of fruit and elegant balance. These wines are crafted in small quantities and consistently score extremely high points across the Parker, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast ratings every year.
